My Bio
I have spent most of my life in the western part of Virginia in scenic surroundings, near the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Shenandoah River so it should be no surprise that I am a nature lover. I'm also interested in science fiction, fantasy, and horror. I like to focus on both natural and fantasy subjects in my art, and am most attracted to strong contrasts between dark and light.
In 2005, I discovered ACEOs (Art Cards, Editions and Originals) and have been creating and selling these small (2.5 x 3.5 inch) art cards since 2007. I also like to take photos with my digital camera.
I'm married, with one daughter and one cat. Locally, I am a member of the Shenandoah Valley Watercolor Society. I also belong to several online ACEO and art groups.

Qor Watercolors Challenge

I belong to the Shenadoah Valley Watercolor Society and a while back we had a demo of Qor Watercolors and were given sample packs with samples of watercolor paper. We had three baseball card size pieces and the group decided for a challenge that we should do three related paintings and bring them to the February meeting. I've decided to post what I painted in my gallery.
